Why see RÉCITS at the gallery
Through the exhibition RÉCITS, LooLooLook Gallery brings together contemporary artists who explore printmaking as a language of the present.
Within the silence of paper, the depth of black ink, and the precision of gesture, each work becomes a fragment of memory — a trace, a narrative in the making.
Presented in the heart of Paris’s 1st arrondissement, this collective exhibition invites a slow and attentive gaze, where printmaking fully reveals its materiality, temporality, and sensitive force.
Printmaking is a medium that reveals itself in real space.
Seeing the works in the gallery allows visitors to:
-
perceive scale, density, and the vibration of paper
-
feel the rhythm of the gesture and the slowness of engraved time
-
observe the silent dialogue between artworks and space
Some works presented in RÉCITS can only be fully experienced in person, where light, distance, and the movement of the viewer’s gaze transform perception.
Artists on view
The exhibition brings together eight artists whose practices of printmaking and works on paper reflect a diversity of contemporary gestures and sensibilities:
-
Mikio Watanabe — Intaglio, light and silence
-
Catherine Gillet — Burin engraving, slowness and inner tension
-
Noriko Fuse — Lithography, breath and perception of the living world
-
Lucio Mosner — Printmaking, density of black and luminous vibration
-
Guo Rong — Printmaking and drawing, the fragility of the living world
-
Maria Chillon — Free printmaking, intuition and the energy of the line
-
Jeanne Rebillard — Drypoint, imagination and narrative sensitivity
-
Ximena de Leon Lucero — Printmaking, restraint and invisible connections
Each artist develops a singular visual language, making printmaking a territory of reflection, resistance, and poetry.
