Contemporary Art Gallery in Paris | LooLooLook Gallery
An international art platform supporting artists and curatorial projects between Europe and Asia, based in the heart of Paris.
Since its opening in 2021, in the heart of Paris’s 1st arrondissement, just steps from the Louvre and Palais-Royal, LooLooLook Gallery has established itself as a bridge between Asian and European cultures. Founded by Lu Dong, a fine arts graduate and passionate advocate for living art, the gallery explores a space where tradition and innovation meet, and where each exhibition becomes a dialogue between memory and creation, intimacy and engagement.
Through Collaborations and Discoveries
The gallery supports its artists across rich, transcontinental journeys, spanning painting, sculpture, ceramics, textile art, and immersive installations. Collaborations with prestigious institutions give these projects unique depth. In Rennes, the Confucius Institute of Brittany hosted the collective exhibition “Un Univers au Rythme de la laque”, where delicate Asian lacquer techniques responded to European artistic sensibilities. In Lyon, the New Franco-Chinese Institute Museum provided a stage for WanBing Huang to reveal her delicate textile universe in “Sheng Dong”, while the Guimet Museum opened its doors to the poetic art of kirigami by Karen Watanabé, offering the public a rare encounter between intricate craftsmanship and contemporary creation. The gallery also partnered with the Institute of Contemporary Printmaking – CCAPA, China for the first international print exhibition “Art Silk Road & GuoChao”, weaving a dialogue between tradition and modernity.
LooLooLook Gallery extends beyond institutional collaborations, exploring innovative and immersive projects with brands. Art meets technology at the Huawei flagship in Paris, where visitors interacted with vibrant, luminous installations, while the TopForRunning x ALL project gave rise to Olympic-themed works, where athletic energy and contemporary creation converge in a dynamic and engaging expression.
Artist residencies offer creators unique contexts for exploration and experimentation. At LiShui Guyan in China, Alexandre Leray deepened his sculptural practice during an immersive stay, while programs in Lyon enabled MoBai LIN to develop his work in resonance with the Lyon Biennale, fostering dialogues between artworks and their environments.
Supporting Artists and Collectors
LooLooLook Gallery provides long-term support to its artists, nurturing singular voices and guiding the maturation of their projects. For collectors — private individuals, companies, and institutions — the gallery offers personalized guidance, from mediation to acquisition, creating an informed and poetic experience. Each artwork becomes a living connection between artists, audiences, and territories, reinforcing the gallery as a trusted platform for international artistic exploration.
An International and Poetic Network
Through every project, LooLooLook Gallery weaves a subtle yet solid network. Between Europe and Asia, tradition and innovation, its exhibitions, residencies, and collaborations embody a poetic vision of contemporary art, where each encounter sparks emotion and discovery. For the collector, the gallery is not just a place of presentation but a journey into art, a space where every work can be fully experienced, enriched by unique insights and international dialogues.
